What I mean by this, if I make myself clear, is that the tribals had a wisdom based on beliefs and convictions unusual for one today, for example, what it meant for them to apply a tattoo. A tattoo was much more than just a cosmetic blemish, but was a symbol that gave status, family information, occupation and rank and also in some cases, were useful in improving health, as these were applied at the same points stands today on the body acupuncture, which is discovered that a tribal tattoo also has unexpected healing powers, and that this was known for thousands of years.

In Rangamati, is the Tribal Cultural Museum, in the Chittagong Hill. This museum shows what was the history and cultural traditions and different social and economic aspects of urban tribes that lived around here.

It was interesting to see what tribal clothing, ornaments, musical instruments, coins and handicrafts. The tribal paintings reflect the many facets of tribal life, which are also on display, and a collection of statues made in metal and wood.
